Our Clinics

Our female medical team of registered nurses and general practitioners are specialists in women’s healthcare, and passionate about delivering high-quality services to empower women’s health.

Luma approaches healthcare with a high-quality and holistic focus. We are proud to showcase our commitment to quality care with our recent accreditation against the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner’s Standards for General Practices (2024-2027).

We operate from two locations – offering sexual and reproductive care in Northbridge, and a full-service general practice in Joondalup; please check the details below to see which location suits your needs. We also offer remote and at home medical services detailed below, and all medical appointments are highly confidential.

Both clinics specialise in people assigned female at birth, although all gender identities will be respected and celebrated. If you are seeking medical care outside of our expertise, we can make a recommendation and referral for you with a trusted provider.

Pricing & Billing

Pricing

Pricing varies depending on the medical needs of your appointment.

  • Bulk-billing: Appointments with relevant healthcare concession cards are bulk billed. For standard appointments with a Medicare card but no concession, after the Medicare rebate the out-of-pocket cost will be approximately $50.
  • Nursing Consultation and STI Testing: $20 or $10 for healthcare card holders (without a Medicare card, you will also be charged for pathology)
  • Pregnancy Testing: $12 out-of-pocket payment
  • Fees can be negotiated based on financial hardship. Please discuss this at the time of booking and prior to your consultation.

General Billing Policy

Our policy is subject to change.

  • Student concession is available to students under 16 years.
  • General rates apply to all non-Health Care Card and non-Medicare card holders.
  • Health Care Card holders will be bulk billed for general consultations with the doctor, separate to any procedures.
  • Cancellation policy: $25 doctor/dietitian and $20 nurse late cancellation or no attendance fees are applicable. Appointments need to be cancelled by 5pm one day prior to appointment to avoid the late fee.

Telehealth Rebates

We can only provide telehealth rebates to clients who have an existing and continuous relationship with their medical practitioner. Those eligible for telehealth rebates need to have seen their practitioner face-to-face at least once in the past 12 months. New patients will need to have a face-to-face appointment with our practitioner before accessing telehealth appointments. This is known as the ’12-month rule’ under the Medicare Benefits Schedule. However, you are welcome to have a first-time, non-rebatable telehealth session.

*Exceptions apply for patients isolating due to COVID-19 and infants under 12 months of age, and other circumstances according to Medicare stipulated rules.
