Womens Health & Family Services provides a professional counselling service for women over the age of 18.
Counselling is short term and available for such issues as depression, anxiety and panic attacks, relationships and past trauma.
The cost of individual counselling sessions (not under a Mental health Care Plan) are:
- $40 for women working full time
- $20 for women working part-time
- $10 for women who do not work or have a concession card
Fees can be negotiated based on financial hardship.
Mental Health Care Plan
WHFS is now able to offer counselling by a registered psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. A small contribution for the session is appreciated.
Women can be referred to counselling by a doctor, agency or health practitioner or women can self-refer. There may be a waiting list for appointments. The referral form can be found here.
Specific Counselling Programs
