WHFS is accredited under 3 Quality Assurance Standards

1.ISO 9001:2015

WHFS was certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant on 18th June 2012 and has consistently achieved accreditation annually since that date. The last accreditation for WHFS occurred in June 2018.

The official recognition is accredited by the Institute for Healthy Communities Australia Certification (IHCAC). The certification of compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards recognises that the policies, practices and procedures of Womens Health & Family Services ensure consistent quality in the product and services provided to clients.

The achievement of an ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates to stakeholders a reliable Quality Assurance system has been implemented providing consistent services and continual improvement in processes leading to better results.

2. Standard on Culturally Secure Practice (Alcohol and Other Drug Sector)

The Standard on Culturally Secure Practice (Alcohol and other Drug Sector) assists alcohol and other drug agencies and their employees, management and Boards to work on the continuous quality improvement of their services.

WANADA developed the Standard in consultation with the Western Australian AOD sector and with indigenous alcohol and other drug services Australia-wide. The standard is the first to require that services define and understand their target population, whether it be men, women, young people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or people from a particular location.

WHFS received recognition for the quality of its service through certification against the Standard in June 2017.

3. Mental Health Commission Quality Framework

The Mental Health Commission (MHC) established a quality management framework for funded Community Managed Organisations (the Organisation) in Western Australia. In 2018 WHFS was successful in achieving the Mental Health Outcomes Statements (the Outcomes) and the National Standards for Mental Health Services (the Standards) that form part of the quality framework, along with reporting and managing Notifiable Incidents and adhering to the requirements specified in the funding and service contract.
